Work With Me

The Process

  • With any new project, I ask the client to provide detailed information: What type of production is required? What are the goals of the production? Which areas or ideas do you want to highlight most? Which platforms will be used for sharing the creation? What are the deadlines and deliverables?

This ensures I have a comprehensive understanding of the project, allowing me to offer my insights, create ideas, and develop my approach.

At this stage, we also agree on the budget and terms.

  • Once we agree on the project direction, I begin the pre-production phase: planning, scouting locations, finding models if needed, and creating a storyline or storyboard based on the project's requirements.

During this stage, the client and I finalise the concept, desired results and shooting locations.

  • The production stage involves capturing all the necessary footage and/or photos to bring the project to life.

Depending on the location, environment, and client requirements, I utilise a variety of gear options to ensure the best results.

  • Once everything is shot, I begin the post-production process.

For both photography and filmmaking, post-production is a meticulous phase where the raw material is transformed into a polished final product.

    In filmmaking, this involves:

Selecting and cutting the footage to create a cohesive narrative.

Adding a free of copyright soundtrack that complements the film.

Designing sound elements to enhance the auditory experience.

Colour grading to ensure visual consistency and elevate the film’s aesthetic.

    For photography, post-production includes:

Editing and retouching images to enhance their quality.

Adjusting colors and tones for visual coherence.

Adding any necessary effects or elements to perfect the photos.

I typically offer two versions of the final product. Initially, I deliver Version 1 (V1). Based on client feedback, I make any necessary changes and provide Version 2 (V2). If any further revisions are needed, I deliver the final version.

Additional revisions can be arranged if needed to ensure complete client satisfaction.

  • Once the entire production is complete, I deliver the final product through a downloadable link for the client's convenience.

For films, all productions are delivered in 4K resolution, with re-scaled versions tailored for different uses. For example, I create platform-specific versions to ensure optimal display on websites, TV, and social media. This includes providing various resolutions, vertical formats for social media, and any other custom requirements.

For photography, the final images are delivered in high-resolution digital formats suitable for both print and online use. I can also provide optimized versions for different platforms, ensuring your photos look their best whether on a website, in a magazine, or on social media.

By offering customised formats and resolutions, I ensure that the final media meets all of the client's needs, regardless of the platform.

Hi, I’m Jake

I grew up fascinated with the world and have been travelling it whenever possible since 2016. My aim is to inspire others to see more of our planet and to open your eyes to the beautiful places I find myself.

When I’m not travelling, I utilise my photography and filmmaking services to create captivating art to showcase brands, hotels and experiences.

I want this space to highlight my professional and personal work but additionally, I hope you find inspiration and useful tips.

I don’t always chase the majestic views, you’ll often find me with my camera searching for the beauty in the small and mundane things too.
